Recorded 2004/5 (drumming tracks w/Timo recorded in Tokyo early 2005). Unreleased/unedited/unmixed straight to 8 track cassette tascam then Tom duplicated to cdr so really rough mix. Early band with ex husband who was heavily influenced by Thurston Moore. I taught myself bass by ear in a very short space of time (tried guitar but really struggled with chords etc) & recorded bass/vocals simultaneously. Tom would then add guitar afterwards. Very Sonic Youth inspired due to Tom's style of playing & my simplistic bass lines. Was pretty chuffed with how I could sing & play bass after literally not playing bass very long although timing a bit wacky which I like anyway. Bought a fender mustang for the job. Lyrics are super embarrassing but no real difference to lyrics of other grunge bands of the time I suppose. My vocals mimicked the Kim/Free Kitten rrriot grrrll style too.
Anyway this is a live reaction playback I sent to a friend who was interested in hearing it. This was late 2020. I preferred to send a live reaction playback because I was so embarrassed about how cheesey it all was even though I was early 20s. Anyway I'm sharing this publicly for a very interesting reason. To know more seek out my open GG Instagram. BTW Sonic Youth suck & they are corporate industry plants involved in sick shit.
